THE PROJECT
This mini project was part of my postgraduate studies at The London Metropolitan University. The brief was to come up with a personalised item, free of choice, in order to create a physical version using 3D printing technology.
My idea was to design a useful but at the same time unusual representation of my future profession and myself at that time.
As some of my design background is in architecture, spacial and interior design I decided to incorporate the most familiar association with those professions: a floor plan.
The most common way to communicate one's profession is up to this day a business card hence I created a 3D printed card, containing my name and email with the addition of a card holder.

The playfulness of this task enabled me to experiment with fonts, vector art and 3D printing technology which was very new at that time.
As part of this process I created CAD and 3D files which were used to print the cards and holder.
The final result counted towards my grade and was a rather clunky 3D printed product with supporting documentation of my progress.
